Cabaret donation to Beyond Blue

Lismore Theatre Company is delighted to announce that it donated $450 to Beyond Blue from ticket sales for last month’s Winter Cabaret.
Beyond Blue provides support and information for people experiencing anxiety and depression throughout Australia.
The four Winter Cabaret shows starring singers Beans Goodfellow, Lee Millward, Brian Pamphilon and Veronica Lovejoy and two accompanying musicians played to full houses.

Beans said ‘LTC is embedded in our community and we like to give back to charities and groups that do good things. We know that anxiety and depression are significant mental illnesses so it seemed logical to donate to Beyond Blue while we sang and brought joy to our audiences.’

Earlier in the year, a percentage of ticket sales from Breast Wishes was given to local cancer support charity Jodie’s Inspiration.
LTC President Sharon Brodie said ‘While we do not make a monetary donation to a charity from every production, we give back to our community through donations of time, materials and training of students on theatre skills’.
