The Saturday 30 November performance of The Vagina Monologues is a special fundraiser for Heartfelt House.
President Sharon Brodie says ‘As Director, I chose Heartfelt House as the beneficiary for The Vagina Monologues because of my long association with this not-for-profit group that does a wonderful job supporting adults in our community who have been sexually assaulted as children.’
CEO of Heartfelt House, Kate Loubet said ‘We are thrilled to be the chosen recipients of LTC’s generosity and look forward to seeing this important show that fits so well with the work we do with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.’
Heartfelt House provides telephone counselling and support and holds 18 week therapeutic group programs that address the impacts of abuse on participants’ daily lives. The organisation also delivers three hours seminars for family and friends to assist them in supporting survivors and managing self care. Seminars can be arranged for professional people working with survivors in other work spheres.

Lismore Theatre Company is proud that most of our productions each year provide the opportunity to make a donation to a worthwhile charity. Previous shows this year have benefited Jodie’s Inspiration, Beyond Blue, Dementia Australia and the Australasian Order of Old Bastards.
‘Our recent donation to two local Landcare groups is further evidence of our commitment to contribute to our community in more ways than just by providing the opportunity to be involved in and experiencing good quality amateur theatre.’ said Sharon Brodie.
